Our Story

It started with four friends, a few cameras, and a curiosity for the places everyone else had forgotten.Forgotten Explorations began in 2019, when four high school friends decided to start documenting abandoned and forgotten places. In the beginning, there wasn’t a grand plan. We weren’t trying to build a paranormal investigation team or create something that would eventually take us across the East Coast. We simply wanted to explore.Old buildings. Abandoned properties. Places slowly being reclaimed by nature and history. We wanted to know who had walked those halls before us, what had happened there, and why some of these places had seemingly been forgotten. But somewhere along the way, the questions began to change. It wasn’t just “What happened here?”It became…“Is anyone still here?”

FROM EXPLORING HISTORY TO INVESTIGATING IT

As Forgotten Explorations grew, so did our fascination with the paranormal. We began investigating historic locations, experimenting with different methods of spirit communication, studying the history behind the places we visited, and documenting experiences that we couldn’t always explain. Some investigations gave us nothing. Others gave us moments we’ll probably talk about for the rest of our lives.

We’ve heard voices when nobody else was around. We’ve watched equipment respond at seemingly impossible moments. We’ve seen shadows disappear into darkness. We’ve sat through Estes sessions that left entire rooms speechless.

But we’ve also learned one of the most important lessons in paranormal investigation:

Not everything is paranormal.

We approach every location knowing there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation for what we experience. Our job isn’t to convince you that ghosts exist.

Our job is to document what happens. You decide what you believe.

MORE THAN GHOST HUNTING

Over the years, Forgotten Explorations has taken us places we never imagined we’d go and introduced us to people we never would have met otherwise. We’ve investigated historic homes, hospitals, battlefields, ships, abandoned buildings, and locations with stories stretching back generations. Some have become more than investigation locations to us. The Cabin on 360 became a second home and one of the most important chapters in our story. We’ve returned again and again, watching our investigation methods (and ourselves) change over the years.

Other locations have challenged what we thought we understood about the paranormal entirely.

But perhaps the most important thing we’ve discovered isn’t paranormal at all.

It’s the history.

Behind every supposedly haunted building are real people who lived, worked, loved, struggled, celebrated, suffered, and died.

Before they became ghost stories, they were someone’s story.

And those stories deserve to be remembered.

GIVING A VOICE TO THOSE FORGOTTEN

That’s what Forgotten Explorations has ultimately become.

Our motto “Giving a Voice to Those Forgotten” isn’t just about communicating with spirits.

It’s about remembering the people who came before us.

It’s about walking into a building that most people drive past without noticing and asking what happened there.

It’s about preserving stories before they’re lost.

And yes, sometimes it’s about standing in a pitch-black basement at three in the morning asking into the darkness:

“Is anybody here?”

Four years after four friends decided to pick up some cameras and start exploring, we’re still searching.

We’ve changed.

Our team has changed.

Our methods have changed.

But that curiosity that started everything hasn’t.

There are still forgotten places.

There are still untold stories.

And there are still questions we haven’t answered.

So we’ll keep exploring.

We’ll keep documenting.

We’ll keep listening.

Because sometimes the places everyone else has forgotten…

have the most to say.
